I have 10+ years of experience in exploration across the mining and oil & gas industry. My life passion lies in cracking the code of mineral exploration success rates. My approach brings systematic methods from oil & gas, where success rates are 1/3, to mineral exploration, where rates are 1/1000, integrating mineral systems with big data and AI.My career began with Anglo American's nickel exploration in Brazil, and I've since held roles from geologist to portfolio manager, working with both junior and major explorers. In 2020, I played an instrumental role in the Dugong commercial oil discovery in the North Sea, and my farm-in recommendations have led to 800 mmboe (4+ Bln USD) in discoveries with an 80% success rate.As an active investor with a global perspective, I track and invest in emerging mineral discoveries. Since 2021, I've invested early in discoveries using our in-house mineral systems framework, including Luni Nb, Azure Li, Q2 Metals Li, Colossus REE, and two Tier 2 uranium finds in the Athabasca Basin.My company, Equivest Metals was selected for the 2024 BHP XPLOR accelerator, completing a sedimentary copper system study across 2 million km² in under six months by leveraging our mineral-system and AI capabilities.
