Postdoc Bioinformatician
With almost all care and research for childhood cancer in the Netherlands concentrated at the Princess Máxima Centre, we are able to collect high-quality data that is homogeneously generated. In my project, in the group of Patrick Kemmeren, I analyse data from tumor and healthy tissue from Máxima patients to identify genetic changes that could be responsible for formation of childhood cancer.

I did a PhD at the Utrecht Medical Centre, in the group of Jeroen de Ridder. I studied the genetics of ischemic stroke and its subtypes. I also developed a new method to identify pleiotropic SNPs from GWAS summary statistics: PolarMorphism.
