Product Scientist contributing to clinical and scientific protocol development and execution strategies, including IRB study approval and clinical data analysis. Assisted in pre-clinical rodent and porcine studies. Served as product expert for clients and internal team.

PhD thesis focused on relating abnormal cancer cell metabolism to natural fluorescence signatures emanating from cells, collagen, and human tissues with the overall goal of identifying optical biomarkers that will be useful in the creation of non-invasive diagnostic tools to characterize disease states.Gained experience in tissue culture and 3D engineered skin models. Develop custom software to quantify biomedical images with the goal of automatically classifying diseases based on fractal theory and Fourier methods. Author of 8 peer-reviewed papers and 20+ conference abstracts. Served as President (2010-11), Vice President (2009-10), Secretary (2008-09), Student Life Chair (2011-2012), Biomedical Engineering Representative (2008-12) of Tufts Graduate Council expanding active board membership from 4 (2008) to 27 engaged participants (2011). Served as Graduate Student Trustees Representative, Tufts Budget and Priorities Board, Committee on Student Life, and Engineering Graduate Studies Committee.
