About Jo Ann "Jody" Dacey
It's all about location. I learned this at an early age. With my degree in Geography, I also learned that geographers know where it's at!I have over 30 years of living experience in the Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle area and 40+ years living in North Carolina. My career started out as a land surveyor in Texas and NC. I moved into the office and became proficient in AutoCAD and other computer programs. I've used AutoCAD within several engineering genres, including civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, controls, and architectural. My current job entails encroachments. I work with engineers from a large power company here in NC. I also work closely with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, various railroad companies and county records and GIS systems. I've prepared contracts and other documents to ensure that correct land rights are acquired for work being done in right of ways. I really enjoy my work. I would love to continue working remotely and on a part time bases.
