I began my employment as a float secretary and was assigned to the Personal Injury department for 9 months. I later transferred to work as a permanent secretary within the Family Law department.

Peterlee And Hartlepool

I began as a receptionist/junior secretary at the branch office in Peterlee in 1998. I began typing in Criminal and Wills and Probate departments and went on to train as a full time Family Law secretary which included private and public law proceedings. I worked for a Partner and Head of Department and transferred between the Head office in Hartlepool and Peterlee office depending on where I was needed most. I became involved in Debt Recovery work running alongside my secretarial duties and regularly attended Court to sit behind Counsel and attended conferences at Social Services.(I had a year away during this time period in which I worked at another firm due to relocating to the Newcastle area, but upon hearing of my expected return to the area, Smith and Graham were happy to have me back!)
