I am a highly motivated individual who ensures high standards of care are delivered to all. My excellent communication skills and positive attitude enable me to work openly, constructively and responsibly with individuals, carers and agencies. I have extensive management and care experience and a broad range of skills. One of my greatest achievements whilst managing the Fairway Project was breaking down the barriers between disabled and non-disabled young people. This is due in no small part to my fundamental belief in equality and inclusion and my determination to ensure that the service remains led by the people who need it. In my present role my ultimate priority is to ensure each young persons safety is paramount by risk assessing all contacts and care for the emotional safety of volunteer and staff counsellors. In my last role as Coordinator for Scotland and Ireland, I primarily focused on the improvement of quality, ensuring compliance in all regulatory and organisation requirements. I was responsible for seeking out new business and applying for tenders, developing training, line managing and coordinating all Circles Networks advocacy services in Scotland and Equine facilitated services in Ireland. At The Mungo Foundation I managed a children and young people's respite unit. This involved ensuring all 43 children who came to Muirfield had an enjoyable stay that met their needs. It was my responsibility to ensure the young people's support had clear and concise guidance to meet each young persons individual needs and challenges.Hansel Foundation I was a project manager responsible for developing a new model of service for young people transitioning to adulthood and services. I went onto championing this service throughout Scotland. This involved having strong interpersonal skills to build the relationships within staff teams to accept the change that was happening in their service and this provided me with the avenue to lead the introduction of new methods of working with people who employed the services.
