I'm a highly motivated and ambitious person who loves science and technology. I have completed my degree at the University of Zimbabwe with a Bachelor of Science Honors in Biotechnology and Biochemistry. During my time as an intern at Diamond Medical Laboratories, I gained hands-on experience in medical laboratory testing. My primary responsibility as an intern medical laboratory scientist was to assist with laboratory testing and analysis on patient samples to support the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. I was responsible for a wide range of duties, including collecting and processing patient samples for analysis, using and maintaining modern, high-tech lab equipment like microscopes, spectrophotometers, and automated analyzers, carrying out various laboratory procedures, including hematology, microbiology, immunology, and clinical chemistry, and troubleshooting test methods and apparatus to ensure accurate and reliable results, to name a few. Additionally, I worked as a dispensary assistant at Diamond Pharmacy.As a former hockey player for the Zimbabwe national team, I have honed my leadership and collaboration abilities. I accepted an invitation to the Global Youth Leader Conference in the United States in 2018 and participated in the Global Leadership Summit program in Harare, Zimbabwe in 2021.I have strong technical skills on Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets. I am fluent in both English and Shona language. My laboratory skills include first aid, qualitative and quantitative medical laboratory tests. During my spare time, I like to read, travel, learn different languages, create art, follow current events, play sports, and work out.
