After 15 years with Jolliffe Cork I have moved onto pastures new and have taken up the position of Company Accountant and Office Manager at C J Connally (Electrical Engineering Services) Ltd. My role is now extremely varied and I am responsible for maintaining the accounting records, which involves using Sage accounts package to input the financial information, using Construction manager package for each contract to record the costs and the sales invoices, bank account management, recording of staff time, and ensuring that the office has all of the resources that are needed to run smoothly, and this does involve the supply of tea and coffee to keep us all going during the day. The introduction of the new FRS 102 has created a huge change in the world of accounting, and along with the related changes to the Charity SORP, will keep me on my toes.Previously at Jolliffe Cork my responsibilities were to ensure that excellent client service was delivered and always in an efficient, friendly and professional way. I worked closely with all of the clients in my portfolio, dealing with any queries and concerns that may arise on a day to day basis. I particularly enjoyed developing and maintaining long standing client relationships and I have helped many people over the years achieve their accounting objectives.
