My role as Director for The International Real Estate Federation is to help people make informed decisions about investments in real estate markets in the USA and worldwide. I am a recognized leader of the International real estate community with access to the leaders in real estate markets in more than 70 countries. This gives me the ability to serve any client wishing to purchase or invest in residential, commercial, land or developments domestically or across borders.

As President of the International Real Estate Federation NY Northeast Council my responsibilities lied in several areas. First, we are an NGO with the United Nations founded in Paris in 1954. We advise the UN on all issues related to housing, the environment and sustainability. My main focus was to educate and facilitate 10 events to strengthen the ability of our over 100 members to conduct international business. Forming collaborations with key business partners such as UBS, Citibank, IFDA, US Immigration, UN delegates, and key world leaders forwarded our ability to facilitate greater international business opportunities. It continues to be a privilege to work with the Academic members of our Federation in the Northeast. These include: The Schack Institute at NYU, Harvard, Amherst College, Colby College, Cornell and Fordham. Working with the deans and faculty of these institutions allows the Federation to provide scholarships and internships to students that demonstrate being future global leaders in business. I continue this work with our academic members as VP of Exchanges on the International Board.

Douds is able to assist selling Residential, Commercial properties and land throughout the world. She has spent 33 years in the Luxury Real Estate business and a noted real estate executive and Relocation Director. The depth of her experience ranges from Relocation Director for a boutique real estate firm serving high net worth individuals to Director of Global Relocation for Luxury Real Estate, a prestigious and highly coveted international network, which includes 1100 members with properties in 64 countries.Douds is renowned for her marketing abilities. Living in New Jersey, within view of New York City, she works closely with a variety of experts in the business world. She has connections to Wall Street brokers, financial leaders, real estate experts and many other key decision makers. She has been a requested speaker in the real estate, marketing and non-profit world.Joanne is a frequent volunteer and board member to a variety of organizations. Ms. Douds is a Director for the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) for the United States. She is VP of Exchanges for the Federation where she helps finds internships and scholarship applicants for university students. Joanne is the Past President of The FIABCI NY Northeast Council - 2013. Concerned for the environment, she works with GreenFaith, and has volunteered for Riverkeeper. In 2015, Ms. Douds was appointed to the Board of Arts Unbound. Joanne has been on the Board of the South Orange Historic and Preservation Society for 22 years. Additionally, She has served as the President of the United Way of Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights. Her most passionate work is for The Erik Douds Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, for which she was awarded the Governor's Award by Lion's Club International.

Evaluated Marketing plans for products to determine their viability. The scope of my responsibilities included the Domestic Gift Business, $250 Million in Sales, Twenty-six plans/campaigns per year with new product sales of $150 Million. Involved in all aspects of product development from concept to inventory buys.
