Temporary position as Purser on MY Dilbar 110m private yacht

I completed a couple of temporary assignments in the fields of administration and accounting.

I spent just over five years working in the role as Purser for Vulcan, where for most of my employment I was the Purser on MY Octopus. I also spent some time on MY Tatoosh during 2007 and 2008. • Preparing paperwork for ships clearance, meeting with officials and ships agents.• Cash handling of yachts petty cash, responsible for payment of invoices and entering into accountancy programme.• Monthly reporting to Management Company of yachts performance with regards to budgets set.• Budget forecasting.• Travel and accommodation requirements for crew, guests and Management Company. • Itinerary planning and organising guest activities. • Updating of crew database with regards to personal details, Visa requirements and certification. • Payroll• Requirements by guests as requested and point of contact for guest arrival at the airport.• Assisting the interior staff at large functions if requested.

Responsible for the smooth running and operation of the interior department that consisted of ten crew. Reporting to the Captain, Owners and Management Company. Duties included, organisation of guests travel, accommodation arrangements, guest entertainment with regards to booking of restaurants and organising of day trips, overseeing of functions on board, accounts for the interior, compiling duty rotas, assisting the Captain in legal paperwork, crew personnel eg, leave plans, travel arrangements, accommodation and visa requirements.

MY first position on board a privately owned yacht (59m) where I worked as a Stewardess. My position was involved in service, housekeeping and cooking for 15 crew on the Head Chef's day off.
