I represent the PO in Sub-Portfolio Delivery Group (SPDG) monthly meetings, capturing any actions, providing narrative on reports submitted, and capturing key updates or points of interest ahead of the next reporting cycle, and support the Sub-Portfolio Managers with their monthly reporting and delivery updates. Further to this, I support in the testing of new reporting platforms, helping to ensure they are fit-for-purpose prior to release to the project delivery community. I was jointly responsible for the delivery of the corporate Improvement Programme and managed three members of staff in the Improvement Unit. I gained a grounding in systems thinking whilst carrying out ‘Lean reviews’ of services such as Housing Benefit, leading to greater efficiency and reduced costs and helped to embed systems thinking in the culture of the organisation.
