I led and coordinated business liaison, communications and outreach activities for the Green Chemicals Beacon of Excellence. This included working closely with University business engagement staff to draw industrial biotechnology enterprises to the Beacon to build long-term strategic collaborations as well as organising and planning events, including workshops and conferences. I was responsible for managing all aspects of the project including; organising and delivering workshops and large-scale events (which involved working collaboratively with other departments and units within the University), recruiting both SMEs and students to take part in the project, marketing and promotional activities including maintaining the website and social media platforms, liaising with businesses, providing a point of information and contact for the students and ensuring that the administrative requirements of the project are met, including monitoring and overseeing the budget. I also developed and maintained relationships with relevant stakeholders, including the Department for International Trade and The Chambers of Commerce. Show less

My role primarily involved working with and for students from the Faculty of Arts raising awareness of the concepts surrounding employability. I was also the operational contact for graduate employers and alumni who worked with arts students in a variety of innovative ways. I also had responsibility for organising and coordinating a programme of events on campus aimed specifically at arts students.

I was responsible for the development and delivery of corporate student recruitment and marketing activity. Duties included writing and editing the undergraduate print prospectus, undertaking market research to identify competitors and inform development and approval of new programmes, and working to ensure that the information and guidance for prospective students on the University's website was up to date, interesting and relevant.
