The MRC Digital Youth Programme Grant 'Adolescent Mental Health in the Digital World' has been funded as part of a recent £24M investment by UK Research and Innovation into improving the mental health and wellbeing of adolescents in the UK, and aims to address the major societal challenge of building a safe and supportive online environment to protect and promote young people’s mental health. The programme involves eight Universities, leading charity, industry, and healthcare organisations in the UK as well as a number of international partners. As Programme Manager I will contribute to the strategic, budgetary, resource and operational planning of all activities, as well as working with the programme's partners and stakeholders to plan and deliver networking, engagement, and dissemination activities and promote these and our outputs both nationally and internationally.I have worked in higher education for over ten years, across a number of areas spanning project management, marketing and communications, business development, student recruitment and employability. I have also worked in the commercial sector, enabling me to see the important role that universities play in the community and regional economy and the mutually beneficial nature of partnerships between universities and businesses that embed research and enhance skills.
