Our mission is to foster inclusive pathways to advanced research doctorates by enhancing the recruitment, retention, success, and well-being of historically excluded scholars, especially Black women. Since 2020, Cohort Sistas has provided digital resources, personalized mentorship, and a supportive network to doctoral students, applicants, and degree holders, helping them navigate academia, build meaningful careers, and increase their well-being.

We educate and mentor digital health startups seeking engagement with pharma and biotech firms. Addgene is a mission driven, nonprofit dedicated to facilitating collaboration and materials sharing in the scientific community. One way Addgene smooths sharing is by serving as a plasmid repository for the research community. -Grew from 16 to 100 while winning multiple workplace awards including Boston Best Place to Work 1rst place in 2016. and 2019 Top 100 Women Led Company in Massachusetts-Increased diversity at Addgene 3-6 X in multiple categories while maintaining single digit turnover-Moved facilities twice and launched one new major business (Prepared viral vectors)

- Collaboration project manager for extensive portfolio of industry/academia and industry/industry collaborations and technology evaluation projects- Leading strategic planning and supporting pipeline development with one project resulting in selection of core areas and development candidate selection <6 months from end of project- Science/business development liaison to support business development group in evaluation of outside technologies and communication of internal research project status- Driving presentation of the company’s data and business case for investors and potential partners

- Successfully grew the discovery research group three-fold in one year from 3 to 9 and coordinated all activities with the pharmacology group as the only research manager onsite- Advanced RXi’s proprietary RNAi compound series with limited resources—expansion of the research group enabled discovery and optimization of novel “self-delivering” RNAi compounds which now form a major technology platform offering of the company

-Promoted 3 times in 10 years-Acknowledged as a manager able to improve and modify attitude and performance in employees on the path to probation; staff placed in my group for performance improvement succeeded in 5 of 7 cases-Led a group of up to 9 scientists including DNA Sequencing, Cloning, RNAi Core Facilities; generated data or information on or ahead of time and always on budget-Selected as an Abbott Therapeutic Area Disease Expert to explore, evaluate and advance programs and in-licensing opportunities in COPD and other disease indications-Championed 8 new projects in a 2 year period with 3 rising to the level of resourced projects; biology project lead for a kinase inhibitor project; project lead for a monoclonal antibody project-Extensive project management experience in exploratory and lead identification stages for small molecule, RNAi and biologics focus on inflammatory and autoimmune disease-Launched and drove over 20 collaborations with academic and industrial partners

-Scientific project manager for development and implementation of databases for company-wide storage of compound and assay results; received Abbott President’s Award for contributions to information sharing across the company-Established robust low to high throughput assays for characterization of oligonucleotide, small molecule and monoclonal antibody drug candidates utilizing multiple platforms-Established RNAi techniques for target validation with adherent cell lines and primary immune cells-Responsible for isolation of over 150 different genes for multiple projects including novel genes; expertise in isolation of species orthologs with unknown reference sequences
