Responsible for building a pipeline of world class talent ensuring that current and future needs are delivered across the F&F operation. Working in collaboration with senior leadership teams to deliver Brand Ambition and Service Plan. •Building capability through effective training and coaching.•Trained and coached in excess of 600 colleagues across 78 stores over a 15-month period to ensure consistent high standards delivered.•Supported the performance management of a number of underperforming managers.•Liaised and worked extensively with the senior leadership teams including Store Directors to fulfil Tesco’s ‘Right Talent, Right Store’ new structure.•Provided HR operational support and development to 15 Area Managers. •Produced an Interview Toolkit to meet the specific needs of F&F; this has subsequently been adopted in all our F&F stand-alone stores across the Czech Republic and Hungary.

Tasked with implementing a new manpower planning initiative across 100+ stores, by coaching Personnel Managers to deliver a scheduled programme of events to deliver excellent customer service with optimum resource.•Supported the re-alignment of more than 360,000 hours to meet business needs.•Delivered full-day training courses to groups of c.25 management population across stores.•Coached and worked with managers to ensure that full consideration was paid to employee relations issues in all manpower/staffing plans.

Deliver core people processes and routines right first time. Lead and deliver all development programmes’ ensuring everyone is given the opportunity to get on. Initially employed to look after the HR needs of a small store (180 staff) then promoted to progressively larger stores with up to 500 personnel.•Delivered and supported a wide range of HR support including Recruitment, Discipline and Grievance, Training and Development, Performance Management and Change Management .•Managed the Apprenticeship Programme in each of the stores, including Assessing and Verifying progress at each stage. •Addressed absence management, leading to a reduction in absence across each store, typically from 4.5% to 2.5%. •Consistently achieved very high levels of staff satisfaction as measured through the Tesco Colleague Engagement Surveys.

Promoted to project manage all personnel aspects of the Mansfield Store opening:•Recruited, trained and developed 50 new recruits from Job Centre Plus to meet government regulations; this included extensive coaching on work ethics, customer service skills and Tesco Values.•All 50 recruits were successfully employed and retained beyond the duration of the project.
