About Jo Ann Ellison

Community Volunteer, Life-Long Learner, Fitness and Nutrition Enthusiast, LGBTQ advocate, Theater, History, Literature, Golf, Bridge; Philanthropist; Aunt; Secular Humanist.GoalsI want to keep up with the latest “big ideas” that will change the world. I want to build a network of interesting friends, teachers and coaches that will help me improve in all my endeavors.AccomplishmentsI was the oldest of a family of five kids and we all survived; After graduating Tulane University Law School with honors and clerking for a federal judge, I was a successful lawyer in NYC in the areas of entertainment law, business law, real estate law and trusts and estates; married to my partner in life since 2010 when it first became legal to do so. After retiring, I have explored my interests in the arts, history, golf, bridge, and travel. I am a Community Volunteer in many capacities. I am currently on the SaddleBrooke One Board of Directors, and the Chairperson of the SaddleBrooke Public Affairs Commission. I am president of GLAAS, (Gays, Lesbians and Allies of SaddleBrooke). I have supported important community organizations such as the University of Arizona.
