At Leidos, I am performing functional analyst tasks for the Enrollment System Modernization project on the Veterans Health Administration account. I have accomplished the following: Elicited requirements, wrote functional specifications and reviewed test scripts for the Enrollment System (ES). ---- Developed enhancements that fulfilled complex VA business requirements and enabled ES users to easily access the standard data reference tables and provide more detailed information about a veteran’s date of death, ----Developed strong relationships with the Master Veteran Index (MVI) team.---- Successfully elicited and documented requirements without having access to the VA system during my initial time on the project.----Wrote a document that showed analysts, developers and testers how to use the Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes to track a user story. Won kudos for making complex processes easy to understand.

At HPE, I performed functional analyst and tester tasks and helped write proposals for the Military Health Veterans Affairs (MHVA) and Immunization Information Systems (IIS) accounts. I accomplished the following:Performed business analyst assignments, including database verification, for the IIS account at state public health departments in compliance with CDC regulations and the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.----- Developed enhancements that eliminated paperwork and streamlined vaccine wastage and returns processes. Gathered requirements, wrote user stories, managed the change control process and performed functional testing for the Pharmacy Enterprise Customization (PECS) project on the MHVA account.----- Developed enhancements that eliminated paperwork and made it easier for the client to track and update PECS records.----- Implemented process improvements that made it easier for the team to track project progress.Acted as a scrum master for a six-month PECS development cycle release and helped coordinate pre-production testing. ----- Created team-building techniques that enabled the PECS team to meet its Sprint deadlines.Helped write a PECS proposal, from the RFI/RFP/RFQ stage through proposal submission, that resulted in a PECS task order award. Performed business analyst tasks for other projects on the MHVA account. Gathered requirements, wrote functional specifications and performed functional testing for the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) project. I enjoyed mentoring new analysts and testers on that project.While I was on the CPRS project, I won a Pharmacy Informatics Award for Outstanding Service to Veterans.

During my time at EDS, I developed technical and project management documentation, managed processes, and helped write system requirements and proposals for the Electronic Data Systems Veterans Administration (EDSVA) Account. I won kudos from the client for making the documentation accessible to users with disabilities. I also won a Special VA Award with other team members for the successful delivery of three challenging software releases.

Venturi sent me to EDS and I created, developed, edited, and reviewed technical documentation for the EDS-VA Account. I provided documents that clarified government mandates and kept up with project changes.

At MetaSolv, I created, developed, edited, and tested context-sensitive, web-based Online Help systems for the Telecom Business Solution, also known as The MetaSolv Solution.Customers liked my documentation for its clarity and usability.

At Alcatel, I wrote and managed documentation for all digital and optical cross-connect products. I also wrote and executed test procedures for digital cross-connects. Among my accomplishments:---- Initiated and implemented manual development and review processes which raised Technical Publications Department productivity by 70%.---- Developed, managed, and edited the user reference manuals for five cross-connect products. AT&T and Telcordia customers lauded the manuals as "the best in the business.” ---- Developed and executed the Final Acceptance Test of the RDX-31 (Rockwell Digital Cross-Connect), which resulted in its successful initial field release.---- Wrote and presented a technical paper on The Final Acceptance Test Process and Future Developments at the Society of Women Engineers Convention, 1991.
