The New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of new homes and customer service provided by developers.Our framework sets high standards for developers while also delivering fair outcomes for buyers who are disappointed with their purchase.As part of our mission to improve industry standards, we oversee the New Homes Ombudsman Service to ensure developers fulfil the requirements of the New Homes Quality Code, and to provide compensation if necessary.By championing quality new homes and better consumer outcomes, we can help to create a housebuilding sector that benefits all.

Responsible for the sales and marketing and design activity across Group including business operations of the Homes business.Mactaggart & Mickel is a multi-award winning UK construction company focussing on house building, commercial property, strategic land management, timber systems and construction contract management.We’ve been crafting top-quality homes and developments for over 90 years across Scotland. Since 2008 we have operated in England where we have secured over 1200 acres across North West and South West England, with a further 250 acres currently under offer. In 2018 we will break ground on two residential developments in Oxfordshire.Our unwavering commitment to high-quality design and construction has been recognised through dozens of industry awards, including 98 NHBC awards to date. In 2016 we launched our Building Communities Fund, which is open to applications from community groups, schools and charities in the areas where we are currently building.

As the first Managing Director at Mactaggart & Mickel Homes England, this newly-created role is instrumental in the delivery of the Group's strategy focussing on growing the company's presence and reputation as a respected housebuilder in England.

Key contributor towards raising the profile of the organisation, as well as encouraging customer-service practitioners, managers and executives to join the Institute as individuals, in order to strengthen the Institute of Customer Service’s position as the central representative body for customer service.
