I worked as a Project Manager on various projects for small business owners. One project involved setting up the first store for a growing European fashion accessory brand in Dundrum Shopping Centre, recruiting staff, setting up daily systems and organising the launch.

I worked with buyers in the leading supermarket stores in UK and Ireland. During my time at Genesis, I worked with new product development to bring new products to market, getting the products listed with the supermarkets. We also got a number of lines listed in Waitrose which was the company's first step into this market.

I worked in a consultative capacity in the planning of this innovative and at the time, ground-breaking cafe in a country town in Mid-Ulster, Northern Ireland. The opening coincided with my move back to Dublin and I stopped off for a few months to help get the cafe up and running. Key contribution on branding, menu development, music, customer service and staff training . . . and did I mention ensuring excellent coffee every time!

Megaprint was an Anglo-Dutch hybrid specialist print-marketing firm. We created interactive printed products solving the problem for many companies looking to communicate information. The company developed a speciality in creating printed inserts for the breakfast and snack food sectors in particular. We worked on numerous promotional campaigns with Walker's Crisps, a few of which were adapted for their markets by other Fritolay snack-food brands across Europe. One memorable one was a Spice Girl promotion which involved the supervision of the flow-wrapping of 80,000 £5 notes in our flow-wrapping factory in a rural town in South Holland, for insertion into Walker's Crisp bags (which we also supervised). Obviously, as the flow-wraps (as was the case with all promotional inserts) were in direct contact with the food, food safety measures were paramount, not to mention the security of the £5 notes!Project Management, brand and campaign design, specialist print knowledge, adapting to work with other cultures were all key skills developed during my time at Megaprint. I joined as an Account Manager and was promoted to Account Director in 1998.

I worked as an Account Executive in this fast-paced marketing agency in Dublin, specialising in Sales Promotion campaigns. Companies / Brands I worked with included Unilever, Jamont, Flora, Persil, Frangelico Liqueur and Super Valu.
