I was appointment by Roof Safety Solutions in 2016 where I was tasked with growing the maintenance side of the business. RSS only had approx. 20 maintenance jobs each year which in comparison to the number of jobs we installed, was a very small percentage. It soon became apparent that no procedure had been put in place for the successful handover of an install job to the maintenance department, the business was sat with over 2000 leads. My first task was to input all of these historic jobs into a spreadsheet which took approx. 2 months. We now work for Facilities management companies, property management companies, Council’s which are all multi-site contracts, as well as Schools, Hospitals and single end users on the maintenance side of the business. With the sudden and continued growth of the maintenance department the organisation of labour within the whole business is managed by me, all site visits are planned and booked in by me in the most economically and efficient way possible and I ensure all materials required are on site, having had no previous contracts manager experience it is something I adapted to whilst learning on the job. At the beginning of 2018 it was brought to my attention that we didn’t have the necessary policies in place whilst carrying out retest work so I have been working towards writing and implementing new policies to ensure we meet all legislation and that my operatives are safe whilst working on site, the most recent policy I am having to implement is our “Lone Working Policy” as we continue to take on more projects, the need for lone working is increasing. Most of these polices are now incorporated into the Method Statement and Risk Assessments that I am required to write for each job we attend. As we are a very small company, I am the only person that is permanently based in our main office, everything within the company must come through me,

My current role at Eurosafe Solutions is Senior Account Manager, within this role I manage a number of multi-site contracts including the fall protection, flagpoles and lightning protection inspections to ensure that companies are aware of there legislative requirements and to also ensure that their sites do not go out of compliance. To ensure that this is done effectively I am required to keep in contact with all these clients to through the year to stay abreast of changes within the company, i.e. employee changes, new sites being added, sites being removed. I am also required to obtain current contracts on a per site basis (renewals) and will frequently be asked to do the following:• New sales which may includes cold calling• Lead providing and prospecting, in the past I have attending businesses when the equipment that we inspect has been spotted from the roadside.• Negotiating contracts.• Face to face meetings, often I have lead these meetings and have traveled the county to carry these out.• PQQ (pre qualification questionnaires) & Tender document writing.

Although this role was very similar to the above my main focus was purely on new sales and managing the sales team. I was also required to collate and present a sales meeting on a monthly basis to the team and our director. I was also targeted personally in this role and this was met year by year, as well as group targets being met. Whilst in this role I completed Level 3 Customer Services NVQ.

I was originally promoted from receptionist to this role, before my appointment the test and inspection department had been run by 1 person and only had one team on site, within the first year of my appointment sales had risen and both office staff and site staff were appointed to deal with the increasing work loads, due to the rise in sales I was promoted to Sales Manager.

I was required to carry out the following duties whilst working on reception:• Answer phones and taking messages• Booking overnight accommodation.• Attending to directors• Organising meetings in the office and elsewhere• Franking post• Meeting and greeting clients.• General office duties.
