I am responsible for IAPT Data management. This includes monitoring our performance in line with both National and local targets and to ensure our staff are working to National guidelines. I work closely with several teams, both clinical and non-clinical where effective communication is essential. I am also currently working alongside our marketing team where we are both developing and re-assessing the way we communicate our service to the general public.

My current role as a Research Funding & Innovation Officer encompasses various elements including; setting up and organising promotional events/materials, marketing the department through various avenues such as Trust magazines and presentations. I have been in charge of developing key strategies for the department and managing several databases. The main focus of my role is to increase awareness around Research and boost grant applications to generate income for our Trust.

This was a clinically based role where I was required to work with people suffering from mental health problems ranging from mild through to complex issues. I worked in the community in GP surgeries as well as providing home visits where necessary. I also provided support on an adult acute ward. This made good use of my skills in Psychology.
