I am a patient and calm leader who thrives in chaos. I learn fast and love digging into complicated topics. I am adept at engaging with people, reading the audience, and finding the common purpose needed for collaboration. I find tremendous joy in developing people and utilizing the very best that each person has to offer. I believe that diversity of culture, thought processes, and learning and communication styles is essential to an effective team. When I am the hiring manager, I tend to select the underdog candidate who may have less specific expertise on paper but have demonstrated grit, character, passion for the topic, and a relentless work ethic.I believe that systems that serve children and families can and should do better. I believe that working alongside those with lived experience creates better, more effective, more utilized services. I am still drawn to the basics of customer service learned within my father’s deli. I will always be connected in some way to the food service industry as well as food focused community services.
