Independent Care CompanionI have been learning and supporting “Superior Adults” (aka seniors) for over 15 years. Seven of those years, I started my own Healthytarian Lifestyle occupation, including Holistic and Dignity Health Care. I am wanting to support, educate and find solutions to some of the needed “puzzles” I have encounter along my journey. I lead a healthy, active, and happy lifestyle. I enjoy things and activities that make me smile and feel well, while also assisting to support others to experience the same. When life presents a change in daily living for someone, my desire is to encourage a vision and path of relief and joy. Life is supposed to be fun and enjoyed so I like to look for the piece of the puzzle that will make it so.I do not “babysit” adults, as many in industry and community would label it. I “support” adults with daily living, unexpected life changes and human dignity companionship. Since everyone is unique in their needs and wants, I design personalized care plans for individuals and adjust when changes arise, or needs are requested. Part of my background is in Medical Laboratory, Medical Office, Phlebotomy, and Intramuscular Injection. This sector gives me extensive training and expertise with PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) along with Infection Control and Prevention techniques. Knowing the protocols for sanitization and or disinfecting are essential during this time of COVID and any following variants but also for all general health conditions and health settings. I have taken (and continue to update) many GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approach) trainings, which have proven to be extremely beneficial for the Alzheimer community and others with cognitive or specific behavior challenges. I offer experience in Dementia, Alzheimer, and Parkinson's Disease. Other tools I like to rely on in my Holistic and Dignity Health approach to care are: Personalize Video Social Support, Video Counsel Support, Maintenance Care, Daily Living Techniques, Decluttering and Organization Services, Sound Therapy, Meditation, Positive Internal Dialogue, Chants, Crystal Healing, Sound Healing, Reiki Practitioner (I & II), Physiotherapy Exercises, Strength Training, Thai Massage, Healthytarian Lifestyle (foods, cooking, shopping) and Food /Chemical Label Translation/Teachings to avoid blind consumerism.
