Note: I haven't touched this site in many, many, many years, but I'm still proud of it :PCreated, designed and developed A Ship Of Fools, one of the biggest and most important web site about The Doors. The website features an extensive listing of albums and songs, and an interactive database of user-owned audio and video recordings, used to facilitate the trades of rare material. A complete web-based administration tool allows the administrators to manage the forum, the news, the user status and permissions, the lists of albums and songs, the categorized pictures, etc. It is the home of the French fan club of The Doors. Tools used: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL.

Worked on the Crowdbase private social network:- Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Sinatra, Vagrant- Design and implement REST APIs- Integration with 3rd parties: Google Login, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Embed.ly, Twitter, Amazon S3- Dynamic caching and invalidation of JSON and HTTP data- Extensive re-factors of code that was hard to maintain- Many performance optimizations, profiling- Unit tests, clean code evangelist :P

For two years onsite, then remotely from Quebec City, I worked mainly with Ruby on Rails and MySQL to develop two products.Clique Tools, a platform used to create and manage sites and communities in the world of music, television, fashion and sports. The sites handle users subscriptions, communities, sharing, online sales, etc. for high-profile clients, supporting millions of users.- Design and implementation of REST APIs.- Re-factor the tool used by designers to create the client sites, with features like complete site versioning, assets bundling, site previews, etc.- Integration with external warehouse APIs, for automatic fulfillment, shipping, tracking of merchandise and orders.- Complete re-write of the online store platform- Implementation of a complex and flexible system of promotions for online stores- Work with project managers to completely re-design the software used to sell and manage online subscriptions to fan-clubs.- Extensive Rails unit tests.Storyteller (storytellerhq.com), a web service used to create web sites by automatically integrating content from unlimited APIs available on the net.- Request, store, use and refresh OAuth and OAuth2 tokens, to be able to retrieve content from any secure API on behalf of the client.- Merge, compile and automatically refresh user SASS templates, with error reports in the UI.- System to track a single user request across the multiple logs in the whole application stack.- Extensive Rails and Backbone unit tests.

Following rigorous coding rules, with great emphasis on performance and unit testing, I developed:- Web-based administration tool for the Coveo Enterprise Search (CES) server product, using C#, COM, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, XML and IIS.- CES installation packages. Tools used: Windows Installer XML (WiX), MSI, C++, Python, COM and IIS.- Highly efficient asynchronous log analyzer and viewer. Features very quick loading and navigation of massive log files. Tools used: C++ and STL.- Coveo web site development and maintenance. Tools used: C#, JavaScript, CSS, XML and IIS.- Build and unit-testing environment. Tools used: Python, XML, Visual C++, Visual Studio, IncrediBuild, PC-Lint and MSBuild.

Following rigorous coding rules, with great emphasis on performance and unit testing, I developed:- Multi-threaded Exchange crawler. Extracts metadata and permissions, supports thread priority and pooling, has the ability to pause and resume crawling, automatically crawls new and modified items, features extensive unit testing. Tools used: C++, STL, Extended MAPI and CDO.- Web-based administration tool and search interface of the Copernic Enterprise Search (CES) server product. Supports multiple languages, skins, server and client user preferences. Tools used: ASP, COM, XML, CSS and JavaScript.- Generation of XHTML representations of RTF and PPT files, from conversion modules developed during internship. Tools used: C++, HTML and STL.- CES installation package. Tools used: InstallShield, VBScript and XML.- Copernic web site development and maintenance. Tools used: HTML, DreamWeaver, JavaScript, CSS, IIS and PHP.

Developed conversion modules to extract the text, layout and metadata from any Microsoft PowerPoint and Rich-Text Format files (C++). Had to partially reverse-engineer the PowerPoint file format, due to lack of documentation. Wrote extensive unit tests.

Developed:- Multi-threaded tool to stress a server product and analyze its memory consumption and response time (C++)- Intranet web site for logging, managing and producing reports of employees' time sheets (ASP, NTLM, JavaScript, Access DB)
