I am delighted to be working with my good friend Margaret McNab in our new venture, McNab & Company. Margaret and I offer more than five decades of experience in organizational leadership, strategic partnerships, branding, marketing and media. Our "sweet spot" is as strategic advisors specializing in communications for the non-profit, economic development, and academic sectors.I previously served as the executive director of the National Association of Corporate Directors Research Triangle Chapter. NACD elevates board performance by providing board members with practical insights through world-class education, leading-edge research, and an ever-growing network of directors.I also worked as CEO of LaunchBio, Inc., a nonprofit organization that identifies, counsels, and supports high-growth, high-impact life science and biotechnology companies, and I continue my work with the organization as a strategic advisor. LaunchBio's mission is to build an ecosystem of innovation for the benefit of human health and well-being. The organization has offices in San Diego, CA; Cambridge, MA; and Durham, NC. LaunchBio offers educational webinars for nonprofit startups and plans to resume in-person meetings in the nation's leading life science hubs when it is safe to do so.I also was a Senior Partner at CREO, a management consulting company, and the President and CEO of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), the nation's longest-serving and largest entrepreneurial support organization. CED helps foster a thriving network for startups and growth-stage companies in tech and life sciences in North Carolina, showcasing emerging companies, and making connections to capital and resources.With a long career in commercial and public broadcasting prior to CED, the common theme has been an interest in learning new roles and responsibilities while helping to take an organization to the next level.
