Aquaterra is a private asset manager dedicated to build the largest avocado production network in Europe, starting from Portugal. As a Financial Analyst my responsibilities include building financial models , (including business plan, cost control, forecasting, scenario analysis and valuation), execute industry analysis and make investment materials (teaser, pitch deck, etc). Moreover, I am in charge of organizing the data room for private investors and banks and coordinating the operations team to make sure that the timeline of events is followed.

▪Conduct equity research focusing on large cap companies (market capitalization above US $10b) in emerging and frontier markets.▪ Compile lists of potential target companies with fund’s criterion and pitch them to the Investment team.▪ Build financial models on the best ideas and use different valuation models to identify their upside potential.

▪ Executed in-depth research on target companies through strategic, macroeconomic and financial analysis. ▪ Valued target companies using both relative value approach (public company comparables) and intrinsic value approach (discounted cash flow models). ▪ Presented company analysis and macroeconomic updates for key markets in weekly investment meetings. ▪ Compiled lists of potential companies with fund’s criterion using Bloomberg’s equity screening function. ▪ Updated macroeconomic database with economic and political indicators of 50 emerging and frontier markets. ▪ Conducted equity research focusing on small and mid-cap companies with market capitalisation between US$500M and US$5B in the healthcare, financial services, human resources, automotive, consumer and retail industries. ▪ Wrote minutes of weekly investment meetings; noted meetings with target companies’ directors, brokers and investment analysts. ▪ Proactively researched and selected new companies to present to the investment team. ▪ Responsible for training 4 new interns, assign tasks and supervising their first projects.

Global Equities and Commodities Regulatory Reporting Team▪ Ensured accuracy and timeliness of trade reporting by closely monitoring OTC transactions reported to European regulators. ▪ Managed and created key performance indicators to identify errors and improve processes. ▪ Created procedure that was later automatised; saved the team 6 to 8 hours per week of data analysis.▪ Responsible for training and guiding new element of the team. ▪ Maintained constant email exchange with analysts of regulatory reporting department of other investment banks and funds to fix errors that affected both sides of the transaction and share regulatory updates. ▪ Collaborated with other members of the team and other teams to solve interconnected problems
