With a background in Computer Engineering with a focus on industrial automation and oil/gas plant processes, João Teixeira graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. He holds master's and doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from the same university and has been a tenured professor at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) since 2014. He teaches electronics and IT maintenance/support courses at technical and undergraduate levels.Currently serving as the Director of Technological Innovation and Coordinator of the Technological Innovation Center at IFRN, João also holds a permanent professorship in the Professional Master's Program in Sustainable Use of Natural Resources (PPgUSRN), focusing on sustainability and natural resource management courses.As an IEEE member since 2012, João is with the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS-IEEE) and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES-IEEE).
