Since 2004 I have always divided my professional time between clinical practice and teaching. I have always been enthusiastic and passionate about the use of innovative technologies in teaching and I have been using the internet for the live broadcast of talks, clinical cases and master classes from the time of my own studies as a postgraduate student.In 2013, I began the development of my own dental clinic in Lisbon, in addition to fulfilling the dream of sharing my own João Borges Academy. In addition to all the dedicated and customized courses in Portuguese, Spanish, French and English on advanced rehabilitation and dental aesthetics with hundreds of participants since 2015, the João Borges Academy has been a pioneer in creating personal development courses in the area of ​​dentistry.In 2018, I launched together with my team the first "Millennials Boot Camp", the only project in the world of dentistry aimed at dentists of the Millennial generation, with the aim of training the future leaders of world cosmetic dentistry, in a mix of advanced concepts training in dental aesthetics along with leadership knowledge. In two editions, the Millennials Boot Camp community grew to 32 participants from nearly 30 different countries and 5 different continents.2020 marks the beginning of a new period at the Academy with its rebranding and the arrival of new extraordinary senior lecturers to the Team. Together with Professor André Chen, Dr. Elena Cerviño, Dr. Joana Rodrigues Borges as co-founders of this new development we all look forward as a team for the future of our Academy!

The João Borges Aesthetic Dentistry® was the brand of the dental clinic specialized in aesthetic dentistry, located in the center of Lisbon, in the heart of Avenida da Liberdade, that in 2020 rebranded itself to become what it is today, the "International Advanced Dentistry".I founded this company to bring together an experienced multilingual and multidisciplinary team working together in the 4 areas of development: clinical, educational, research and social responsibility.In December 2018, I was selected as one of the "40under40 - the 40 businessman of the future" among more than 300 Portuguese candidates of all the economical fields, working in Portugal and abroad.
