    Inkjet technology has advantages as a fabrication method when compared to other conventionalprocedures. Inkjet technology allows the deposition of several materials directlywith non contact with it, mask-less and the possibility of printing over a previousprinted pattern. Due its versatility of inks (conductive, polymers and organic) andsubstrates, direct deposition of materials with high precision using simplemethods, this technique shows a high potential as a fabrication method. Despite thewide range of applications of inkjet printing in electronics, a lack of intend for printingdevices for collecting biosignals. The subject of the work presented was the first steptowards the development of a inkjet device for a close contact with skin for collectbiosignals.One way to apply the functionalities of an inkjet printer, in biomedical engineering, isdeveloping printed electrodes introducing electronic skin concept, i.e., implement electronicdevices using features of electronic skin (flexibility, extensibility and compatibility).Thus, the major goal of this work was develop, using this technique, electrodescapable of measuring electromyographic signals from the forearm's muscles responsibleto move hand and ngers. In order to use the potentials of inkjet technology, theseelectrodes must obtain congruent measurements and should prove advantageous whencompared to the standard electrodes.

    Aortic stenosis is the most common heart valve disease in adults and one third of all patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis are not offered surgery, mainly because of high age, left ventricular dysfunction or other comorbidity. Since the introduction of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), these high-risk patients may now be offered a less invasive alternative. The problem relies on patient selection for TAVI because this procedure also has some complications associated.In order to guarantee a better selection of these patients, I studied the quantitative vascular parameters that lead to a quantitative rule to support the decision for the TAVI approach. I also studied a comparison between x-ray angiography and computed tomography angiography (CTA) for selecting patients for TAVI procedures.
