I started my professional experience in 2004 and, for 5 years, I worked in corporate banking, that gave me the opportunity to meet different companies, entrepreneurs and several economic sectors. Later, I grabbed the challenge to bring all my "terrain" experience to politics as a technical advisor in the Portuguese parliament. This was my first connection with politics. In this position, besides the economic advising, I also had to evaluate, discuss, and purpose measures to enhance economic sectors and solve different problems and challenges that were signed by companies and industry associations.After 2 years, I was invited to join a ministerial team. I worked for 3,5 years in the portuguese government directly connected to different areas: agriculture, sea, environment, forests and spatial planning. I had meetings with all the stakeholders of these different areas and manage different projects with the Ministry.I´ll never forget the several regions I visited (in Portugal and abroad) and the vast quantity of people I met.Recently, for the past 5 years I´ve returned to the economics corporate domain. I´ve been managing 2 different business associations in the north of Portugal in 2 strong industry regions (Paços de Ferreira and Penafiel). I´ve had under my coordination teams of 20 people who work in helping our companies associates to promote their business interests, enhance digital and environment innovation.I help them search for new products, services and international markets, train their workers, sponsor quality and certification standards, lobby public officials, publish newsletters, books, or periodicals for distribution to our members and local community.Today, at my actual business association I manage a professional school with over 200 daily students and a team of over 40 teachers. It´s good to feel we are helping all the local community with our work: companies, population and local authorities in order to develop our local economy in such different areas of knowledge.
