I was a scholarship holder in the project in partnership with PETROBRAS. The team had to identify and support the design and analysis from flexible pipes for oil extraction from one of the biggest Brazilian companies. I developed, together with other engineers, parametrized finite element models for the determination of stress fields in two and three dimensional coupled models, with contact and with profile variation.

In particular, I organized a social gameshow, which people answered questions about the participating groups to win prizes. Being president of PET-Mecânica was the experience that changed my concepts of leadership and teamwork. It was a very difficult task to restructure a group with few people and with difficulties in working as a team. Gradually, the communicative difficulties were over, and, with a reformulated selection process, the group had a new face, a new identity.
