Professional career always linked to Retail. I started my professional life at SONAE, where I got strong negotiation skills, attention to detail and managed a P&L for the first time. Focus on profitability was always present as well as maximization of results and market share.From there I moved to OPTIMUS where I had the opportunity to manage my own team. The focus was to lead a sales team on a fast growing environment, increase sales and market share within our customer base, keeping the spending budget under control.At this time I had the opportunity to do the AESE / IESE MBA. Using the Case-Based Learning methodology, AESE Business School prepares its students for General Management challenges, focusing on strategic thinking, leadership with impact, and team management.The MBA opened new doors, and I got into the technology world joining Edinfor and later on Wincor Nixdorf. During 12 years at Nixdorf, the business volume multiplied by 4 and profitability reached the highest level when compared with other subsidiaries. As of today most of the Portuguese Retail customers have a strong Wincor-Nixdorf installed base, and we’ve reinforced shipments leadership, software solutions and hardware services on the installed base, with a passionate, professional and dedicated team.In parallel with my professional activity, I co-founded Horizon Adventures in 2015. A tourist entertainment company that since then develops off-road guided motorcycle tours in Portugal and Morocco. With our own fleet of 12 motorcycles, we offer a complete package consisting of epic itineraries, top class overnight stays and typical Portuguese meals. Each tour is a life time experience in itself. In March 2023 it became my main professional activity.

In my current role, I coordinate the various areas from the creation and optimization of our tour offer, event preparation, promotion, management of bookings and payments, the event itself, as well as post-event processes from invoicing, to liaison with accounting, tour partners, and other management topics. Biggest challenge so far was to survive to Covid times. We manage do do it and grow from there. Now we're focused on consistent growth and new partnerships to develop our business, specially those partners who can bring customers from new destinations/countries who are eager to know Portugal from a different and mostly unseen angle.
