Hello!My name is Joaquin, and I was born in Guatemala but moved to the north of Spain in Cantabria. I'm currently in my last year of Software Engineering at Universidad Europea del Atlántico, where I've developed a strong foundation in software development and data-related technologies. I’m passionate about applying data to solve real-world problems and making informed decisions through Data Science.I primarily work with Python, a crucial tool in Data Science, and have experience with frameworks like Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn. I’m currently pursuing the Google Advanced Data Science certificate, which has deepened my skills in machine learning, data analysis, and predictive modeling.Before starting my degree, I worked as a freelancer in graphic design and audiovisual production, developing a creative mindset that complements my technical skills in data visualization and presentation.I also worked for Google via an outsourcing company, where I supported Google Cloud. My responsibilities included data migration and resolving technical issues with websites hosted on Google servers. This experience helped me develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which I now apply to data science projects.I received a scholarship to study at Universidad Europea del Atlántico in Santander, where I worked as a developer for my university and other companies. This role exposed me to professional software development, collaborating in agile environments, and coding across various frameworks, including C#, Python, and JavaScript. Recently, I’ve focused on using Python to build data-driven solutions.My summer internship for a company related to my university and the European Union allowed me to work on projects that involved building websites with complex data pipelines, further fueling my interest in managing and analyzing large datasets.I also had the opportunity to study abroad through the Erasmus program at the College of Economics and Computer Science in Kraków, Poland. This international experience broadened my perspectives and added value to my skillset as I work toward a career in Data Science.Currently, I’m focused on building a strong portfolio of data science projects, exploring advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualization. I'm also enhancing my skills through online courses, working towards certifications in Data Science and Machine Learning to advance my career as a data professional.
