I began working for Harbor Wholesale Foods in 2015 when hired into the Warehouse as an Inventory Control Clerk. This was due in part to my 7 years of experience I earned working for Target in the stock room. After 1 year of growth within Harbor, learning about the systems the Warehouse uses, I expressed my interest in expanding my knowledge into the IT side of things. This grabbed the attention of the IT Support Desk Supervisor, Anette Smith, who interviewed me for the position and brought me over. While learning the IT systems that Harbor interacts with on a daily basis, from Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Dynamics NAV, Highjump, etc. I built up a wonderful relationship with many individuals within Harbor, as well as, customers that I assisted. This in turn opened up the opportunity for me to step up into the IT Support Desk Supervisor position.Harbor then received the opportunity to purchase a DC in Kent, WA from FSA. This changed much of how Harbor's infrastructure worked, but allowed myself the chance to move into the IT Support Desk Manager position, furthering my supervision over the IT individuals at the Kent DC remotely as well. The continuing growth of Harbor added the MTC company from Modesto, California to become part of the Harbor family which in turn added additional remote IT Support staff to my team. Getting the opportunity to meet and work alongside more individuals across multiple states was great for building my manager skills and I look forward to continuing wherever it takes me.I am continuing to grow in the Manager position now. Learning more systems that I didn't handle before, and learning how to supervise a great IT team. I look forward to the years to come with Harbor and can't wait to see where the career will bring me.
