The SSC Venture Studio is a student-led venture fund that is focused on growing and fostering the Boston College entrepreneurship ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy startup capital with the Venture Partners to students and alumni in the Boston College entrepreneurship ecosystem- Maintain and manage relationships with startups and founders on campus, general partners, portfolio companies, and professors. - Plan and lead weekly meetings with a group of 30 analysts. Meetings include but are not limited to VC education, sourcing, presenting investment memos, hosting workshops for startups, and bringing in speakers to discuss more about the industry and nuanced topics regarding Venture Capital. - Manage Senior Analyst, newsletter, Marketing, Research, and Outreach teams.

- Lead a group of five analysts in sourcing and due diligence processes for BC startups- Write investment memos to be presented to the studio and General Partners about potential high-growth startups- Attend weekly studio meetings where we discuss companies we have sourced, have guest speakers, discuss industry sectors, and have education sessions- Built an in-depth report on ESG as a sector for Q3/Q4 2022 and presented it to the studio

- Source potential investment opportunities for Boston College’s first student-led VC fund alongside SSC Venture Partners- Develop a business plan for a potential startup company to gain an understanding of how to operationally support portfolio companies- Learn the ins and outs of the VC industry, valuations, and seed funding through lectures, projects, and outreach campaigns
