I founded Three Sisters Care with my sisters in 2011. We provide qualified healthcare assistants and nursing services to people in their own homes. We've won several awards for Best Social Business as we are undertaking transformative employment practices - the sector is dire when it comes to caring for its employees...ironic, ain't it? Well, we're trying to be the change. We're also at the forefront of care robotics and automation in our sector, working with some of the UK's top robotics firms to shape the care robotics market, including Bristol Robotics Lab and Shadow Robot Company. My background: I worked on social transformation programmes for 20 years before founding Three Sisters Care. From my first job as a youth worker at 17 through various public sector and educational roles, I specialised in education, entrepreneurship and gender programmes and am now continuing that work as an employer. My aspirations: Having moved on from an operational role, as Chair I am now focused on our philanthropic work, mainly setting up a public health centre in my ancestral village in Bangladesh with an emphasis on maternity care. I also still lead the company's drive to spearhead the robot revolution.Outside work, I'm trying to get my pilot's license, become a better samurai warrior, write a novel and astronomise.
