I help miserably-employed professionals figure out what type of work they should be doing and in which work environment. I believe that, like me, everyone should enjoy what they do for 40+ hours a week. It is fun for me to help others recognize where they belong and/or assist them to get there.Clients can save money by opting for a full array of career services from me. But I can also be hired on an hourly basis to help with specific areas of need including search techniques, resumes, interviewing, online networking, face-to-face networking, branding, salary negotiations, and career planning. I am fortunate to have been blessed with really good career coaching skills, because I have yet to identify talents in other areas. I can’t sing or dance, I can’t hit a baseball, and I invariably draw my own blood doing home improvement projects. So my first piece of advice would be to hire me to coach you, but not on those other things.

I served on the chamber board of directors for 10 years.As president. This was my training ground as a career coach. For seven-plus years, I was primary point of customer contact and ensured satisfaction for 4000 clients served by offices in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. This involved tracking and managing quality and delivery of career management services through 11 career coaches, administrators and researchers. I started here as an executive career coach and campaign troubleshooter.

Here I oversaw contingent recruiting activities targeted toward the retail industry (I hunted heads!)Simultaneously, I managed delivery and operational programs for all divisions of the Boston office of this national firm. I was also resident career coach, retained to develop the company's executive career coaching business.

I traveled from Maine to Connecticut making sure that TJ Maxx stores operated properly. The territories I supervised in the mid 90s produced about $60M in sales volume and employed 350 people. This company is well known for best practices in human resources management. So I learned a lot about interview selection critieria, training, people development, performance feedback and succession planning.This bedrock of training serves me well in my current role as career coach.
