For as long as I can recall, I have always been fascinated by medicine. As a kid, my favorite book was the Merck Manual. It seemed natural that my love of medicine and pets merged into a career in the veterinary industry which now spans multiple decades and areas of specialty. I spent many years spearheading a beloved non-profit organization in Austin, Texas where I cultivated my passion for helping those in need.My desire to be of service has crossed over into how I build veterinary teams now. With warmth and creativity, I bring together the biggest hearts and brightest minds by looking at them as more than their skills, seeing them as whole individuals. I care deeply about the people inside of the veterinary hospital and this approach builds fiercely dedicated teams empowered for good, and ready to challenge the status quo.By recognizing and respecting the role of pet parents as integral to the welfare of pets, my focus is on providing an unparalleled positive experience for pets and pet parents while supporting team members so that they can provide quality care. Through continuous process improvement, I leverage technology to reduce the administrative burden of providing care and increase employee engagement while ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization.Creating a community outreach partnership with local animal welfare organizations to keep pets in their homes after adoption and developing technology to facilitate efficient workflows are my passion projects.
