My direct reports include Client Managers, Take On/Sales Admin Manager and their respective teams. My responsibilities include ensuring appropriate practices and procedures are followed to protect security within the book and whilst making the required contribution to Company profitability. To lead and develop the Operations teams to achieve both the business and personal objectives. To maintain Client relationships, whilst effectively manage the risk. To be a Trade Finance point of contact for the sales and operations teams across all Bibby Operating Companies and to underwrite new business.

I was accountable for the overall financial performance of my portfolio and that of my team, including risk management and strategic planning. My role also incorporates the management and utilisation of resource. I manage a team of nine direct reports, have the overall relationship and risk management for 144 client lines and the collateral and risk for a further 150 client lines with lends from £250,000 to £1.5 million.

To monitor and manage service levels and security of the Midlands over £250k lend client portfolio whilst ensuring that the team are working within the Company procedures. To motivate and manage of a team of six staff. To identify resource and training requirements required to ensure smooth and successful running of the team. Ability to recommend, develop and implement improvements to meet with changing client requirements.To achieve my income budget for my area of responsibility. To minimise use of targeted Bad Debt Provision.

This role was to pursue indemnifiers, partners or proprietors of client businesses and their debtors to recover advances where a shortfall has been identified. I had full responsibility for complex and demanding recovery situations and reporting to senior managers within Operations and Risk.

Analysing sales ledgers to allow recommendations to be made regarding finance on own portfolio of clients. Dealing with verbal and written communication from clients and customers.
