When I was young I was a very shy and timid girl. Compared to my siblings, I was a late bloomer when it comes to educational achievements in my elementary days. But hold and behold, high school was a different story. I graduated high school with flying colors when I got 3rd place in the honor students, got leadership award when I finished my term as Student Govt President and got my Campus Journalism award when I represented the school in competition in the cluster level, won 4th place and also served as Editor in Chief of the School’s Newspaper.It was in high school that I discover my love for English subjects that also probably lead me and my team in college to get at least 2nd best thesis. It became very useful at work but it's Numbers that had opened my eyes to a whole different world. I learned how to do timekeeping and payroll and all stuff related to compensation and benefits. On the side, I learned how to write memos, announcements, notices, and all things that came with the job - as HR Professional. Leadership and writing during high school were probably only been the first step.I learned a lot over the years and became part of a start-up company building the team from the ground up to 300 HC. It's really fun and exciting to enjoy growing with the team, building policies every step along the way, helping employees every way I can, training what I know, implementing engagement activities, & loving the team who help make it all happened. I especially enjoyed GSuites, gsheet, gform, gsite, and Excel the most. KPI and OKR Metrics were a major wow for me. It makes every performance assessment objective and yes measurable! The SMART principle is the key.Overall, Labor Relations, Compensation, and Benefits is my expertise - the employees hated to love me but they do.Due to the pandemic, I am pretty much looking for an Upskill so I attended several learning courses at some point in LinkedIn, ECOP, PMAP, etc. I also got CLSSYB! Got me pretty much addicted to learning. ( I hope I can do it every year. I missed interacting and learning with people and it makes me love attending courses more than ever. I just want to know more. I created a monster learner in me.At home during my free time to this never-ending quarantine, I watch Netflix - my favorite so far is Suits! I’m also learning to play guitar and started painting with acrylic. Other than that, I sleep to recharge.Now, that’s pretty much the highlight of my professional and personal life.So, who’s the shy and timid girl again?Ohh, I probably outgrew her.
