 I got re-hired at In-N-Out initially as a part time job to help out at home, but decided to jump back in to management. I have been re-trained with all the new cash handling procedures and assist in running shifts. I work with customers on a one on one basis daily and find ways to always provide the best customer service at all times. I train fellow associates on all positions involved in the daily operations of our store. I have found myself to be a natural born leader and have earned the respect of all I work with. One of my favorite parts of my shifts is getting to know our regular customers. I enjoy making them feel special and greeting them by name and letting them know how much I appreciate their business. I make it my goal that even though they are only coming into my store to get a meal, that they leave my store after having a great experience and will return often. I give 100% every day I come into work and I am always striving to be better at my job.

 This was another opportunity to work with a different type of customer in a very different environment. I was able to expand my sales skills in many ways and work with a very different product than I was used to. I was trained all about jewelry and caught on very quickly. I enjoyed learning about this area of retail however, I found that jewelry was not a passion of mine, and I really missed being in management. Nevertheless, I expanded my knowledge of the retail world quite a bit farther in a short amount of time.

 As the Women’s Department manager I was expected to increase the department volume, manage selling costs, expenses, and shrinkage. I also had to come up with monthly events and promotions to increase volume and profitability. I had to teach, coach, and develop my employees to give their best customer service in a hectic environment. I also had to recruit and hire top talent. I built positive relationships within my team, my store and the company. I was in charge of merchandising the clothes to be the most appealing to the customer’s eye. I was responsible for the overall management of the employees and the department.
