I lead a breakout session called “Life After Yearbook” and spoke about how skills students learn as yearbook staff members put them in a great position to succeed in a journalism major in college. I also walked them through life as part of the School of Journalism and Communication and what some of my peers were doing with those same yearbook related skills. During the rest of the camp I worked with the directors and the other staff members to set up classrooms, handle technology issues, direct campers, and keep all other operations running smoothly.
