Optimized an immunofluorescence imaging technique to quantify various types of T cells in the tumor microenvironment under the mentorship of Dr. Elen Torres and Dr. Brendan Horton in the Spranger Laboratory at MIT's Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research.

Concord, New Hampshire

Appointed by Governor Sununu to represent NH youth on the council and in state legislation on issues pertinent to local youth. Promoted youth civic engagement by meeting with state leaders and foreign dignitaries. Drafted agendas for regular council meetings, took minutes, and penned council statements to the state legislature for relevant bills. Attended hearings and testified on behalf of NH youth.

Cambridge, Massachusetts

Performed research in chemical biology on the effects of cancerous transcription factors and the capability of a directed evolution platform to alter these transcription factors under the mentorship of a PhD student. Obtained experience with qPCR, cell culturing, Western blotting, luciferase assays and other biochemical lab skills, designed a research project, gave project updates at subgroup meetings, crafted a paper, and gave a final presentation.
