Organize group events that encourage students and their families to consider, plan for,and apply to colleges and universities. Assist the program manager and evaluation staff to identify, collect, and interpret key progress and outcome variables to evaluate the effectiveness of the Advise TX program. Submit monthly progress reports to the program manager documenting progress andoutcome data. Represent Advise TX, as requested by the program manager, to potential supporters andto other interested parties. Collaborate with various college access groups (GEAR UP, Project Stay, San Antonio Education Partnership, Good Samaritan, UPWARD BOUND, college/university recruiters, and Communities in Schools) to promote a college bound environment for students, parents and faculty. Verbally present to small and large group settings in both English and Spanish to felicitate financial aid knowledge, parent involvement and college application completion. Strategically plan short term goals regarding financial aid applications, scholarship and college applications in order to reach end of year goals for Advise TX chapter. Administered successful completions on both FAFSA and TASFA applications. Collected and recorded student information; such as scholarships awarded collegeacceptances, and financial aid, for Advise TX and Edgewood ISD end of year reporting. Correspond with counseling staff to conduct senior and underclassmen activities that promote an increase in college bound mindset. Assist program directors with Advise TX training of new advisers; may include, exceltroubleshooting, event planning and other needed assistance by program directors.
