I have been working at Duchess Bake Shop while I’ve been at school part-time, and over my time there I have learned many new skills. Not only serving and packing peoples treats, but interacting with all types of people over and over again. We want everyone that comes through our doors to want to come back not just because of the amazing deserts they had, but also for the experience which starts with me as a server. Another responsibility I have here is making coffees. Pulling the perfect espresso shot and steaming the milk to the precise temperature and texture to create a beautiful latte, cappuccino, or other speciality drinks. The most important responsibility that I have is making sure that everything runs smoothy throughout the day. Ensuring that the customers do not have to ask us for anything, we should be thinking about what they need before the thought even crosses their mind.

Friends of Jasper is a non-profit organization working along side Parks Canada in many restorative projects throughout the park. As well as running many programs for little to no cost ranging from guided hikes, tours, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities.
