Survival of the Sun Bears is an awareness campaign and documentary film project to bring light to these unique bears and their plight for survival. Our mission is global awareness about sun bears in Borneo.Documentary Film:Time may be running out for the world’s smallest bear, yet they are crucial for sustaining the health of the world’s oldest rainforests. Based on the island of Borneo, in rainforests older than the Amazon, this film follows the life of Natalie, a rescued orphan sun bear. From illegal pet trade victim to wild freedom, Natalie is the first sun bear to be successfully released back into the jungle where she belongs. Through interviews with leading conservationists we will learn what it takes to rescue and rehabilitate sun bears like Natalie. These wildlife experts will teach us about sun bear behavior, ecology, anatomy, distribution, the threats they face as a species and the current efforts to save them from extinction.
