  • Beecroft Medical Centre
    Medical Receptionist
Beecroft Medical Centre Sep 2020 - Jan 2022
    Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
I'm the face and voice of the the medical practice. First impressions count and having a warm reception the minute our patients arrive allow them to relax in our sunlit waiting room. I anticipate the needs of our doctors to make their appointments as seamless as possible. This positively enhances the experience for our patients. Performing triage is an important daily accountability to make sure our practice is COVID-safe. Multi-tasking administrative demands, keeping the practice in tip top condition, and occasionally making coffees is all part of the day. Always executed with a smile - even if I have to squint my eyes real hard to compensate for wearing a mask.
  • Handmade Cooperative
    Community Engagement Coodinator
    Handmade Cooperative Jan 2014 - Dec 2020
    Sydney, Australia
This volunteer position gave me the most satisfaction and has led to so many opportunities. I met inspirational women in the handmade community and helped to build a safe and supportive environment, facilitating open conversations to learn from and celebrate each others' failures and successes. In the spirit of cultivating growth mindsets, I organised annual team activities like team stalls at markets, fundraising, and skills enhancement workshops like photography and product styling. It created opportunities for our members to network with other makers, which in turn opened up other possibilities for collaborations. From 2016-2018, I represented Handmade Cooperative in the annual Etsy Asia Pacific Captain Summit to network, and presented a speech on team building and engagement strategies.
  • Nsw Department Of Education
    School Adminstration Officer
Nsw Department Of Education Apr 2019 - Oct 2019
    Kellyville Ridge Public School, Sydney
My two term tenure at Kellyville Ridge Public School saw me taking charge of publishing the fortnightly newsletter, relieving the Principal to focus on executive responsibilities. Juggling a multitude of administrative tasks was part of the day. What motivated me the most was engaging with the parents, and the students especially. Listening to their concerns, showing empathy to their challenges, and offering assistance to effect solutions were the highlights of my tenure. It was the spark that ignited my desire to work with young people on a more tangible level, hopefully in the not-too-distant future.
