Responsibilities include:• Defining Academy Strategy – Determining the overall direction for Mendix Academy. This includes initiatives and connections to projects, programs and teams in the broader Mendix and Siemens infrastructure, but also beyond.• Defining 'Knowledge as a Product'. This includes all product-focused training (elearnings, classroom, in-product, etc.) and certifications. Ranging from defining roles, curricula, course materials, certification, enabling trainers and in-platform guidance, to delivery of public classroom/VILT training.• Setting up a learning partner program and Certified Trainers ecosystem.• Growing the team members and mentoring them.• Performance management and evaluation.

As an Instructional Designer I am responsible for designing, creating and maintaining online and classroom content to inform our partners, customers and community members to use the Mendix platform in the most effective way. This includes the design of the learning platform itself, the learning paths and structures within that platform, and the actual content.In this role I am the one who collects all knowledge of the Subject Matter Experts within Mendix, and translate it into a curriculum. Together with the technical writers and motion graphics designer I deliver this digital content to teach our community of 40,000+ Mendix developers.

As Manager of Education I am responsible for attracting and managing our external training partners and internal trainers. In addition, I am responsible for the certification program and the RES Academy.Achieved results- Setting up and managing a network of Partners (RES Authorized Learning Centers) for RES Education. By setting up a partner network for training, the reach of RES Education is many times greater than by just using internal trainers. This has resulted in over 5000 trained students worldwide.- Setting up an external certification program. Ranging from choosing the certification institute, to creating exams and managing the project team. By using an external organization for exams and certification, the RES exams are available worldwide and the independence and quality of the exams is guaranteed. Worldwide, more than 5000 official RES certifications have been obtained by students.- Setting up a digital learning environment. From pitching the idea to management and internal and external negotiations to selecting an LMS, editing videos and creating learning paths. The digital learning environment provides an even wider availability of the RES courses, both internally and externally and the possibility of self-paced learning. Some 1,000 people now use the Academy every month, and more than 2,000 people have passed the Sales exam.

Responsible for the creation of technical documentation in the broadest sense (online help, admin guides, whitepapers etc).
