Leading a team of software engineers responsible for the operation of 500+ KINEXON systems deployed on bare metal and in the cloud. We design, implement and maintain a software stack that helps KINEXON to provision, update and monitor all installations in an automated and reproducible way through Infrastructure as Code. Core responsibilities:- Development of a software stack providing core services to every KINEXON system (Linux host) including network and VPN configuration, monitoring, backup and restore, identity management (IAM) and automated system updates- Design and implementation of web interfaces for configuration and administration using modern JavaScript frameworks- Packaging a customized Linux distribution for hosting the KINEXON software stack- Migrating legacy on-premise applications to a container architecture and deploying them on Kubernetes cluster (AWS EKS)- Running a highly available VPN cluster network based on OpenVPN deployed in the cloud (AWS) for connecting to any KINEXON installation remotely- Monitoring critical internal and external IT systems through Prometheus and Grafana- Hosting and administrating core services for all developer teams (GitLab, Release Server, Container Registry) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)- Running an in-house Kubernetes cluster for executing CI/CD pipelines (build, test, package, deploy)- Advisory on security topics and the ISO 27001 + TISAX certification process in close collaboration with the IT security and data privacy officer- Leading and mentoring a team of software engineers and supporting their growth- Strategic alignment and roadmap definition for the Infrastructure team

Core responsibilities:- Architectural design, implementation and maintenance of a VPN remote management and monitoring solution for KINEXON customer installations- Ownership for a web platform for automated system deployments and hardware inventory- Administration of internal IT infrastructure (Linux router with DHCP, DNS, firewall, VPN)- Hosting internal IT services for the development department, e.g. software for version control, review, release management- Maintenance of virtualized server infrastructure in the KINEXON office (Promox hypervisor)- Interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members- Bug analysis and third-level support for incidents of early customers- Documenting code and improving test coverage for production-critical software

Being one of the first 3 members of the application development team at KINEXON, I was part of the very early development of many core applications and helped to grow the company from a small startup to a well-known leader in its space.Core responsibilities- Design and implementation of single-page applications based on Angular (JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML)- Development of backend services with REST APIs (Node, Python, PHP Symfony)- Definition of CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deploy stages based on Jenkins and GitLab CI/C- Master thesis with focus on data analytics and machine learning using location data

In this six-month project I was responsible for extending a web platform (Python/Django) used internally at a local startup company. The development of a "Recruiting Dashboard" allowed for easier management of student applications and thus greatly facilitated the HR recruiting process. Based on user profile data (skills, technologies, uploaded CV, ...) we developed an automatic matching algorithm that suggests most suitable candidates for upcoming technology projects.This interdisciplinary project was realized in close collaboration with the TUM Entrepreneurship Research Institute.
