Full time Voice-Over with SIS, the most recognised name in the provision of (amongst other areas) betting shop outputs. Based in MediaCity UK, I have been with SIS since the autumn of 2012 when output of SIS's main channel permanently relocated there. I am the youngest full time Voice-Over with SIS and having not considered the thought of commentating near on 3 years ago, I feel it is a true demonstration of the progress and potential I have shown leading to my employment with SIS showing the confidence and belief they have in me.It isn't just with SIS I have honed my commentating skills having called Point to Points, Harness Racing and Pony Racing covering most of the country- from Yorkshire to Sussex and across to west Wales.I graduated from the University of Chichester in 2010 with a 2:1 BA Hons in Sport and Fitness Management and although I have yet to truly apply my degree towards achieving employment within a relevant position, the spectrum of areas I read during my time are still of severe interest to me and I hope to become able to apply them to my career.My life philosophy is 'the harder you try, the luckier you get' which I attribute ultimately to my journey into the racing industry that has brought me to where I am now at SIS.Having held little interest in horse racing prior to my employment with William Hill, I soon caught the racing bug and came to the realisation that to further my knowledge and solve my curiosities I would need to do so outside of a betting shop environment. Upon finishing university I began to build the bulk of my experience of the racing industry by working for 4 racecourses, visiting various trainers' stables, writing racing focused journalism, starting my career in commentating and gaining many connections in the process. I could write and talk about my experiences for hours. Doing so would be a very enjoyable trip down memory lane for myself but I fear those who are reading have better things to do!
