Jochen Kumm, PhD, is a founder and creator who makes data, machine learning and AI relevant. He is the CEO of Pr3vent INC - which prevents blindness in infants. He the AI innovator that drives Redmynd AI in Victoria, Canada, and Bonafia INC - which radically improves women's reproductive health. I developed IP for Coyote Group (finance), PhysioAge Systems (longevity), Placid0 (ophthalmology), Remynd (multi-modal AI), Bonafia (women's health). Algorithms I developed have been used in trading and finance, at the Human Genome Project, the Home Office in the UK, at cancer centers, and in industry. Capable of high-level abstraction I build innovative companies commercialize problems of multi-dimensional, non-linear interactions. Everything is connected, but patterns allow us to predict and comprehend. I enjoy working with mission driven investors, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and global health platforms.I led advanced computation at the Stanford Genome Technology Center, Roche Pharmaceuticals, IBM Research Africa and various startups (Veracyte, NextBio, Pathogenica, Pinpoint Science). As the non-academic co-director of Stanford's OMICS center I develop analytics that integrate genomics, ecology, behavior and history of infectious diseases.
